Her subconscious told her she saw sex as something vast and terrifying and yeah, that was both true and fucking hilarious. The screaming solitude of empty deserts probably wasn't so different from bliss sometimes. Did she look like she was dying from a lack of touch, from the absence of some kindred spirit? Reality lined up, sure, but the morning news was too goddamn serious. She wondered if he knew she was high. She wondered if he'd want to get high with her… if he could.

DAMN. Their fridge was making a noise so unbearable it had looped back around to nothingness at this point, just another layer of blank white static. Silence now felt like taking off a bra after an endless day.... weightless but almost too much.
