"Miss Yuan?"

Sitting by the window, watching the busy outside world drown in the pouring rain, Ivy had almost missed the voice calling her name twice, before she turned her head to face the nurse standing by the door. She was one of the new ones; expectant look on her face, with a smile that was well-trained, but never really reached her eyes.

Something about her told the girl, that she wouldn't stay in this job for too long.
However, that was none of her concerns.

Over the years, Ivy had seen countless nurses come and go, with the only constant being the current head-nurse and her doctor in charge. Both of them combined, she had probably seen more than her own parents, but that was just how life was. Visiting the hospital was nothing out of the ordinary for her, whether it was for regular check-ups or because something was wrong.

Recently, after catching yet another cold, she had felt more fatigued than usual, but her results came out okay. Or at least she was hoping so, because there hadn't been any sudden calls from her doctors and really, now that she was about to graduate from school, she hoped that it would remain this way. Maybe allow her to travel a bit, see more of the world, that she had read so much about already, but never really been able to travel.
There was time before she would start college and she wanted to make the best of it, gather some inspiration and see all those things, that people liked to talk about in their stories. And she had read so many of them...

"Everything looks fine. The cold has affected your immune system more, than it would have for a healthy person, but if you take it slow for a little longer, you'll be fine again. Just don't overdo it for a little longer and no sports, alright?", with a nod, Ivy offered the doctor a smile.

"Thank you. I'll be careful.."
