Morgana had been motionless for too long. Her red eyes betrayed how much she had cried, but still the tears continued to fall, silent and stubborn, she refused to accept the emptiness that Erin had left behind.
She had been ignoring texts, not going out or eating properly. Having a silent breakup like that was one of the things she feared the most. She hated romance because she knew that if she gave her heart to someone, she would get hurt. And that proved to be true with the first person she wanted to love. Erin.
In her lap, hugged to her chest, she held a small white teddy bear with a blue scarf that Erin had given her on their first winter together. For when I'm not around, and you still want a hug. Erin always had a way to make Morg's heart stop and beat faster right after. She loved and hated that. But she loved more than she hated.
She pressed the toy against her chest tightly, as if it would stop the hole in her chest from growing any bigger. Her crying was quiet, but it physically hurt now. Her chair creaked slightly as she moved, but she remained trapped in her room. The world went on, even without her or Erin. But at that moment, she still couldn't do it.
