The same sounds again — suitcase wheels rolling on the floor, the echo of a hotel corridor, the quiet drip of coffee into a cup.
Oh yes, I’m still here — that ritual never changes.
I’ve returned to this rhythm I once knew so well: flights, nights within walls that never belong to me, lights I switch on only for a moment.
Once, this life was full of people, laughter, and unplanned songs in hotel rooms.
Now it feels different — quieter, touched by a mature kind of longing.
B is still beside me, her laughter sometimes sounds just the same, and yet, something feels missing.
