Music for memory

No musical genre embraces the history, tradition, customs and habits of a people as much as folk music, ethnic music.
Folk comes from folklore, and indicates the set of traditions, customs, popular beliefs, myths, fairy tales and legends that are passed down, often orally, within a community.

So making folk music is not just creating a hit, hoping for radio airplay and thinking you've found a job: it's more about respecting those who existed before us, talking about them to those who are here now and to those who will come, if we're lucky enough to listen to our music.

Making folk means feeling close to peoples we've never met, or of which we're not a part. It means deeply respecting differences, but not letting them distance us.

In a humanly complicated period for me, the search for a folk path is the desire to shake off everyday problems and look at everything from a distance, reminding myself who was there before, who will be there and that... I'm just passing through.

With Annika and Alexia, I will try to try many subgenres. We will start with Celtic-style productions, knowing that this is just a beginning.
