A little less than a week has passed since the end of the World Cup.
A wound still open, a memory that I masochistically love to keep alive by rereading, comfortably seated on the sofa at home, the newspaper article that announced our defeat.


A way of reminding myself that the best things are achieved by working hard.
Locking away the recriminations in a closet and replacing them with comfortable sneakers and a comfortable gym outfit to rush through paths and parks to spend a few hours doing a healthy workout...


And a bit of healthy stretching, smiling at the thought that once we return home we will be able to enjoy small pleasures with the awareness of having done our duty.


A warm, regenerating bath that can melt your muscles like butter...


And a few glasses of good wine, capable of flushing out even the most persistent pain caused by the accumulation of lactic acid, and you're back to normal.
