Full Circle
It had been exactly one year since it all started, since his life took an irreversible turn that spawned ripples which would echo throughout the rest of it.
In that time he had found, lost, and prowled around the thing that gave his life meaning like no other. He had found himself unable and unwilling to fully let go, a flame kept ablaze by a bonded thread that wouldn't snap, deeply rooted feelings that refused to be denied or ignored, dragged by a pull that defied all reason and demanded none. He was a victim of his obsession, having known heights that he chased like the proverbial dragon. There was no alternative, the universe had no say in this matter. He had found the place where he belonged and his heart and soul would forever crave that spot of home. Of passion. Of love. Of her.
And as the planet completed it's full cycle around it's beloved star, so did he.
