You know… no matter how much I tried to pretend everything was okay, the truth is that ever since Zoey left, nothing was ever the same. Everything became a bit colorless, dull. The cities seemed cold—and I, well, I just pretended to move on. But the truth is, I never stopped loving her. Not for a day.
I had sworn eternal love, and many people must have thought it was just talk, but it wasn't. I said it with an open heart, and I kept it. Even with the distance, even with the silence, even when it seemed like she would never return.
And then, suddenly… she came back. Zoey came back. It was as if the sun had decided to rise again just for me. It's hard to explain, but even the air felt different. The whole world seemed to breathe with me.
I don't know what will happen from now on. I only know that now that she's here, everything makes sense again. As if, after so long in the dark, I've finally found my way back home.
