𝙷𝚘 𝙷𝚘 𝙾𝚑 𝙽𝚘
I’m starting to think I’ve spent more time in the air today than on actual solid ground. My body gave up on time zones, my brain’s on autopilot. At this point, I could wake up in a different country and just roll with it. Merry Christmas, I guess?
The day started in Manila - no slow morning, no cozy holiday breakfast. Just a music video shoot. Cameras, bright lights, a director shouting “one more take”, knowing damn well it meant ten. But somewhere between scene changes and pretending I wasn’t running on fumes, I remembered why I love this. Exhaustion aside, there’s something about creating that makes the madness worth it.
Then straight to the stage. One hour. One shot to make it hit. The Manila crowd never disappoints, and for that set, I forgot the lack of sleep, the airports, the tight schedule. Music does that - it pulls you back to the moment. But as soon as the last note faded, reality came crashing in.
Next flight. Next city.
London. The cold hits different after Manila’s heat, but I barely notice. One drink, then another. A moment to breathe, to exchange holiday wishes with friends, to pretend for a second that time isn’t running away. And before I know it, I’m exactly where I should’ve known I’d end up - under mistletoe, standing too close to someone I definitely shouldn’t be looking at like that. But Christmas is about tradition, right? And some traditions are impossible to break.
Before things get too interesting, I’m off again.
Paris. A baby shower. A sharp contrast, but maybe that’s what I needed. A reminder that not everyone is making questionable 3 AM decisions - some people are responsible. Some people are building new lives while the rest of us are busy setting ours on fire.
But maybe that’s the magic of it: life exists on both ends of the spectrum. Chaos and calm. Loud nights and quiet moments. Neon lights and baby blankets.
Wouldn’t have it any other way. 🎄
